What Will I Look Like After My Lip Filler Treatment?
What Will I Look Like After My Lip Filler Treatment?
While beauty ideals may vary, lip qualities such as symmetry, softness and smoothness remain consistently desirable. Desirable lips don’t necessarily mean bigger lips. There are so many options available for enhancing and rejuvenating lips to produce natural looking results, personalised to each individual. Whether you want a more dramatic pout, to restore what was once there, correct asymmetry, or define your natural lip shape, there are options available for achieving the lips you desire.
Immediately Following Your Treatment
Your Nurse will advise you of the possible side effects and what to expect after your treatment in more depth during your consultation.
As an indication though, the most common and expected side-effects you may experience include;
- Swelling
- Skin redness
- Itching
- Bruising
- Slight pain or tenderness
These side effects will generally subside quickly by themselves over a matter of days. A cold compress and mild pain medication is generally all that is required, if anything.
Different Products Create Different Outcomes
Legislation restricts clinics from naming or implying brands used for injectable treatments, online and in any advertising. What we can say though, is that not all products are created equally and the type and amount of product used can have an impact on your final result and the longevity of results. Often 'cheaper' isn't necessarily better and the saying "you get what you pay for" is generally correct!. Products of a lessor quality or smaller amount or poorly injected will not achieve desirable results or last as long, so always ask your practitioner what type and how much product is being used. One of the high quality brands we stock at Euphoria has been manufactured in such a way that the initial swelling generally experienced after a lip filler treatment is minimal to non-existent! Individual results will vary from person to person of course.
There Is An Art-form to Creating Beautiful, Natural Lips!
Not all qualified injectors are equally experienced or skilled in correcting asymmetries or creating "I-wonder-if-they're-her-real-lips" results. It is very important that you feel comfortable and that the injector understands your personal desires and style before going ahead. The best way to decide how you feel about a treatment is to have a consultation and discuss any concerns you have before considering to go ahead with a treatment.
The Results
Many people are concerned that they will look ‘fake’ or have ‘fish lips’ if they undergo a lip filler treatment. This is usually because they have seen undesirable or extreme results on others. It’s important to remember that you will not always notice a good, natural looking result - however, you will often notice the 'not so good' results! Through experience, skill and artistic ability along with using high quality, safety proven products, we are able to achieve extremely natural looking results. Your personal desires will be discussed with you during your consultation.
This is an image of a Euphoria client who wanted her top lip to be a bit fuller to match her bottom lip. The after photo was taken just 3 days after her treatment. You can see that there is still slight swelling which is normal and will resolve over the next few days. The final result will generally be evident a couple of weeks later. Individual results may vary.
This Euphoria client wanted to add volume and definition to her lips without looking 'done' or fake. We achieved this by using a filler created especially for the lips to create a soft and natural result. These photos were taken 2 weeks apart. Individual results may vary.
