What can we treat with the Emerge fractional laser?

Posted on 14 October 2016

What can we treat with fractional laser?

Or...what can't we treat with it? We love this machine because it is so versatile. We have had amazing results from clients treating an array of concerns, including:

  • Scarring, including acne scars and surgical scars
  • Mild to Moderate wrinkles and ‘crepey’ skin
  • Sun damage
  • Loss of volume
  • Heavy or tired-looking eyes
  • General skin texture

So How Does It Work Exactly?

In a nut shell, the Emerge fractional laser provides non-ablative skin resurfacing results. Non-ablative means the laser doesn’t burn your top layer of skin off, like ablative does, which means little to no downtime (you can wear makeup to cover any redness the next day, or if you use a good quality mineral makeup you can cover it immediately!)

The laser uses micro-beams to create pin-prick sized areas of treated skin surrounded by areas of untreated skin (rather than treating the entire surface, resulting in much less trauma and healing time). The body’s natural healing process then rebuilds the treated tissue with new collagen and elastin, which are the building blocks of youthful looking skin.

Skin will continue to build collagen for up to 12 months after a course of treatments, so your skin may continue to improve long after your treatments have been completed.
