What is Dermapen and how does it work?

As we age, Collagen and Elastin production deep in the dermal layer of our skin dramatically slows down…this is bad news as Collagen and Elastin provide our skin with support and firmness, less Collagen production equals less volume and elasticity. Despite what most cosmetic companies will tell you in their advertising, your skin provides a very effective barrier to external substances, which is why most over the counter cosmetic products applied directly onto the skins surface will often fail to penetrate to the deeper dermal layer where they are most needed.

“Dermapen Advanced Skin Needling” or sometimes referred to as “Collagen Induction Therapy” stimulates natural collagen & elastin production whilst also creating fine needle channels, allowing up to 80% more topical nutrients to be delivered deep into the dermal layer of our skin.

This increased absorption of active ingredients creates stimulated repair and faster resurfacing results.

“Dermapen Advanced Skin Needling” works by vertically piercing the skin with multiple tiny needles (these are not needles like those of an injection, they are only a couple of millimetres long.) Your skin cells recognise the ‘injury’ created by the tiny needle punctures and they get to work repairing the damage. This process boosts collagen and elastin production and speeds up cellular turnover improving skin texture and revealing fresh, radiant healthy skin.
